設計的開始就鎖定在如何找出代表台灣意象的產品，科技產業或是傳統產業其實最能代表的是科技產業加上傳統產業，一個是台灣的過住另一個是台灣的現在與未來；但如何將兩個產業連結卻是一個頭痛的問題：

科技產業：選擇USB Driver是因為生產以及組裝的技術門檻低，但是實用性高，而且台灣的Flash產業在世界上佔有相當重要的地位。

傳統產業：竹器生產廠商，竹器在台灣的常民文化之中是一個日常生活中不可缼乏的重要產品及材料

台灣意象的粿印：從以前到現在粿印是台灣飲食文化中的一個重要原素和所有人息息相關的，沒有省籍沒有宗教的藩籬，從紅龜粿到月餅從糖塔至糕點，都會使用到粿印，在台灣也形成了一種粿印的常民藝術，或許這樣的方向來代表台灣會讓更多的人接受。，它將圖案壓印在每一個糕餅之上,這些糕餅參與了每一個家庭的婚喪喜慶，因此粿印是一個相當有文化意念的產品。

因此也確立了產品最後設計的方向。

When I set out to search for a symbolic design for Taiwan culture, I came to realize the best way to represent our culture that is so vast into manufacture of high tech and traditional products is to fuse these 2 areas into one simple and symbolic design.

High tech industry: the reason for choosing USB flash drive is because can be easily manufactured and practical in every usage. Traditional industry: Taiwanese has good experience in manufacturing and processing bamboo material since it is large part of Taiwanese daily lives. Chinese cake mold: Chinese cake has been with Taiwan food culture since the beginning. It is used in variety of events such as weddings, funerals, celebration parties and etc, which makes the cake mold to be a memorable and part of Taiwanese culture.
